It’s raining here, and I’m thinking of you
Is it raining where you are or is the sun out, shining through?
It’s night time here, and I’m thinking of you
Trying to calculate the hours until it’s night for you too
I’m sitting alone, and I’m thinking of you
I wonder if you’re with people or you’re alone too
No matter what happens, at some point in my day, I think of you and wonder what you’re up to
And I kind of hope you think of me too.

Lights in the night sky
A pale face looks at the moon
finding gentle peace

I am fighting for that place
for that look of love on your face
I can see that I don’t stand a chance
But it hurts when I see you two dance.
No matter how lonely I may be
You will never be able to see
That loneliness is just one part
of this breaking, shattering heart.
Perhaps because I can always force that smile
Bear the load and walk that extra mile
While I may seem happy on the outside
I am honestly breaking apart on the inside.
So take notice of these words I write
Before you leave from my sight
Before my decision becomes clear
And all our memories disappear.
